The estate falls within what was previously coastal forest habitat and we are rehabilitating this in the open common spaces. The landscape plan includes a retention dam and the re-establishment of the coastal forest with the planting of indigenous trees and plants, and the control of alien invasive species. There is an abundance of wildlife including small buck, banded mongoose, and a proliferation of birdlife. We have over 3km of walking and running trails throughout this conservation area.

Overlooking the upmarket coastal town of Umhlanga, La Lucia Ridge is perfectly located and within easy reach of numerous golf courses, high- end shopping options and restaurants as well as corporate office hubs. Residents are at the centre of work and recreational options, with access only minutes away.
